Special Workout for Moms & Happy Mother’s Day!

A few years ago, I would never work out at home. I’d say there were too many distractions.

Now I ONLY workout at home and I have MANY distractions. Or should I say one particular almost three year old distraction…named Jack!

For me, working out at home has been the only way for me to stay consistent. Does going to a gym, having time to myself and the ability to focus solely on my workout sound wonderful? Sure! But it isn’t realistic for me right now and I try to make the best with what I have. Not spending the time getting Jack and myself ready for the gym, driving there and getting him settled in the daycare helps me to make my workouts actually happen.

I can wear whatever..sometimes my pajamas, no sneakers most of the time and I get done what I can get done. Some days are better than others, but I always remind myself that something isn’t nothing and being consistent has always made the difference.

I love that I can set a good example for my son. Whenever I workout, he usually joins me…or jumps on me which just makes my workout even more intense!

Below is a great workout to do when you are short on time, that you can do anywhere and you can  incorporate your kiddos….especially if they leave you no choice!

Busy Mama’s Workout

1 minute of burpees

1 minute of squats

1 minute of pushups

1 minute of reverse lunges

Repeat this series 3-5 times, resting when needed.
